Evolution Flush timber-effect windows have been used to maintain the 19th character and beauty of this beautiful little cottage in Godalming, Surrey.
The property owners wanted the front windows of the property to be replaced with high performance windows that required less maintenance than the original timber windows. In addition, it was crucial for the replacement windows to blend seamless with the rest of the property.
Working alongside the client, our installer offered suggestions for products that would provide them with a sympathetic look that matched the period cottage's look and offer the noise and sound insulation as well as the high-quality security features they were looking for.
Our installer recommended the flush casement window as a good match for the property's overall style and age and the client decided on the Evolution Flush timber-alternative window which gave the home that natural wood look without the hassle associated with maintaining real timber.
These timber-effect windows have grained wood finish and are finished with a soft pebble white colour on the interior and agate grey on the exterior. To further the authentic feel of the windows, the client opted for the traditional monkey tail handles and rectangle-shaped lead work.
To ensure attantion to detail the 45mm cills have also been given an authentic timber look.
The client was delighted, as their home is a more secure, quieter and warmer place to live and because the finish on the wood is so authentic and detailed, many of their neighbours in and around this Surrey village were convinced they were made from wood.
The owners have been so pleased with the results that they are now going to install our Evolution Flush windows on the rear of their property.
