Timber-Effect Evolution Storm Windows and Doors Wirral, Merseyside

The owners of this amazing property in the Wirral, with well-established gardens were carrying out some updates and renovations of the home, and requested the team John Knight Glass worked closely with the client supplying and installing for them a new glazing solution for most of the windows and doors in the house, as well as a brand-new extension with an orangery look and feel.

John Knight Glass finished it with white, using a grained foil finish and Georgian bars with chrome standard handles to really complete it. When walking up the driveway, it was the side of the house that we used Evolution Storm windows. These timber-effect windows, and doors that they also installed, were the perfect choice. They improved the condition of the property, but did so in a sympathetic way that ensured it had the same look and feel of the period it was originally built.

In other parts of the house we opted for a more contemporary aluminium window with a grey colour. While it's not the typical choice for that kind of building, the aluminium pairs up nicely with the black of the original timber frames. The modern twist the aluminium brings to the property is a great addition both externally and internally. While the house's front windows have been widened and enlarged to allow the homeowners and their guests to drink in the amazing views of Merseyside and the Dee Estuary.

All in all, we think the addition of the new doors and windows have enhanced the property's already gorgeous looks, while improving its strength and condition. With the double glazing, the owners benefit from better thermal and sound insulation. They are happy that they have a warmer, quieter and more comfortable home.
