At Rococo, we relish a challenge and give our all to all jobs big and small, so we were pleased when the owners of a property in Winchester requested our services to design and build an orangery. They wanted the structure and aesthetics of the extension to blend seamlessly with the rest of the house, so that they had a comfortable and sophisticated area to use at any time of the year.

The design we devised incorporated the use of timber-alternative produces such as the Evolution Storm windows and French doors. We also planned to use fluted corner posts and an external cornice that was moulded using traditional methods and a customised spray finish, that just gave it a real classy graceful feel. As the external brickwork was given a coloured render, it matched nicely with the colour of the existing building and is the perfect bridge between the old and new.

The result in the end was exactly how the homeowner had envisioned it and they were extremely happy. The beautiful orangery helped to extend and enhance their home so that they had a wonderful space that could be used for relaxing and entertaining. Thanks to the Evolution Storm windows with Ventiss teardrop chrome window handles, Georgian bars and the French doors with matching Georgian Doors, the new building was spacious but also efficiently and thermally insulated.
